In the lea of the picturesque North Downs in Surrey, on the main A24 Dorking-to-Brighton road, the Dukes Head is now under the proud new ownership of your hosts, Dawn and Ian. The Dukes Head is a great base for exploring Surrey and the South Coast, or for an overnight stay before travelling to Gatwick Airport, which is only 15 minutes away. Dorking is just 3 miles (5 km) to the north, Guildford is only 30 minutes away and central London is only 40 minutes away, via the trains that run regularly from South Holmwood Station, only 5 minutes’ walk away. Accommodation is available in both the old and new parts of the building. All of the en suite rooms are pleasingly appointed and have tea/coffee making facilities and flat-screen TV/DVDs. The public bar has a relaxed atmosphere and a wonderful traditional old inglenook fireplace. Well-behave children and pets are welcome and there is an outdoor play area for children, as well as a large garden.
